BE PREPARED
It is better to be prepared for an opportunity and not have one than to have an opportunity and not be prepared. ~Whitney Moore Young, Jr (1921-1971)
I went to marinate some chicken today and, behold, no water came from the tap when summoned. Hmmmph. Good thing I have an emergency supply of tap water under the sink for just such occurrences. Boiled a kettle-full for washing up, with some dishsoap in a large bowl in the sink. What’s the use of many decades of living if not to learn the many ways of being prepared? Four liter soda bottles take up almost no space under the sink and proved invaluable for the chicken as well as clean-up. It takes more than that to slow me down, so I’m marinating happily!
