I'm inclined to agree with you gadget-wise, but I couldn't continue SB&C without a computer. And my cell phone, well, it's my only phone. Since moving to NYC - and living alone - no need for a land line. One phone does it all . . . as long as it works. I'm due for an upgrade and the service center is charging my batteries until NYC can replenish stock of the iPhone. Another Until Further Notice. However, I did NOT replace the tv. Discovered I can see things on the www. And a new quiet has invaded my apartment, which I rather enjoy.

I went back to my original swimmin' hole at the newest NY Health & Racket Club and remembered why I'd fallen in love with that pool to begin with. Calm and serene, with all of the pool crap behind closed doors, it is an oasis of skylit coolness on a muggy East Coast day. I'm actually swimming longer! So it's Only the Good Any Day I can get there for refreshing laps.

Thanks for dropping in for a chat. I know how you miss your dad. The photo you posted of him on your wedding day spoke volumes of his love for his daughter. Such people simply cannot be replaced. Thrown under the bed, indeed!

Bless your heart, Joy ... you DO need only the good Friday. Perhaps the Universe is trying to tell you that we don't really need all these electronic gadgets ... we just think we do! At least, I think I do!

Wish that I could spend some time with my Dad or Eric's, but those days are gone. I think people should maybe go "adopt a Dad" over at the nursing home. Find someone who doesn't get many visitors and just play a game of dominoes with 'em. I did that for a few years right after my Daddy died.

Hope you find a place to swim soon!
