PREPARATION TIME:  30 min
COOKING TIME
:  10-15 min
PREHEAT OVEN:  400ºF

C O O K  /  P R E P A R E

INGREDIENTS
1/2 loaf of Italian bread, sliced in 1/2″ slices, not sliced all the way through.
1/4 lb butter (1 stick) OR 1/2 c olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced (use more or less garlic, depending upon your tastes)

PREPARATION

  1. Add garlic to melted butter or olive oil.
  2. Brush on bread slices.
  3. Wrap in aluminum foil.
  4. Bake 10 – 15 min until hot.

S E R V E

Unwrap & serve in a basket wrapped in a dish towel.  Tear slices from loaf.  To make croutons, cut bread into cubes.  Bake in oven 5 – 10 min until crisp.  Use as garnish to soup or salad.
