PREPARATION TIME: 10 min
MARINADE TIME: 30 min
- Combine all ingredients.
- Marinate.

INGREDIENTS
1 c strawberries, cut in half
2 tsp sucanat
1/8 tsp lemon zest
1 TBSP red wine, Madiera or port
1 tsp white balsamic vinegar
grinding of fresh black pepper
1″ stick cinnamon, broken apart
PREPARATION
- Onto strawberries, add all of the ingredients.
- Mix well to dissolve sugar.
- Serve within an hour or two.
S E R V E
Spoon the strawberries into a dish, and heat the marinating juices. Pour over strawberries. For additional fun, heat 1/8 c red wine, ignite and pour over the berries. Serve immediately.

Yes, but probably leave off the wine ignition! Best when eaten within two hours of marinating, so don’t wait too long.
