COOKING TIME: 20 min

    Add ingredients to boiling water & simmer.

C O O K  /  P R E P A R E

INGREDIENTS
1/2 c basmati rice
1 TBSP soy sauce
1 tsp thyme
1/4 c raisins
1/4 c sunflower seeds, raw or roasted, unsalted

PREPARATION

  1. Bring 3/4 c filtered water to a boil in a saucepan w/tight-fitting lid.
  2. Add ingredients except sunflower seeds, stirring & return to a boil.
  3. Cover & reduce to simmer until water is evaporated & rice is tender.
  4. Stir in sunflower seeds.

S E R V E

This can be a light vegetarian entrée, or served with meats or fish.

Rice can easily be reheated in a microwave oven; just don’t overheat it or it will be tough.
