PREPARATION TIME: 10 min
- Melt butter, add cornstarch.
- Add milk, heat.
- Add spices, cheese & heat.

2 TBSP butter
1 TBSP cornstarch
1 c milk
1/2 c cheese, grated
Dash white pepper
- Bring water to boil in the bottom of a double boiler, using a burner wire.
- Add butter and, when it has just melted, stir in cornstarch & cook until hot.
- Add milk, stirringÂ until heated.
- Add spices, cheese & stir until melted into sauce.
S E R V E
Serve over steamed vegetables such as asparagus, broccoli, Brussels sprouts or cauliflower, or grilled tomatoes.
